  • What I’m Reading Wednesday: Magazine-O-Rama! I’m broke but I’m happy because I got myself some excellent magazines from Kinokuniya, Singapore. Frankie and Lula kept badgering me with their prettiness, so I got both. I also saw this magazine I haven’t seen before called Oh Comely (strange name, but a bit forgettable—at least for me, since I kept referring to it as the Oh something magazine) from UK which reminds me of Frankie (layout, photos, tone, whimsical smattering of various topics and clean, sans serif typography inside) and a more masculine version of Frankie called Smith Journal (which reminded me of Cabinet/Esopus/Monocle/Nylon Guys). Spent a pretty good chunk of the day smelling them with my eyes closed. I collect magazines I’m in love with and I think I can almost distinguish each favorite brand by smell. Mmm, magazines.
